Skylark Therapy offers a range of fees for individual therapy, ranging from £110 to £150, depending on the therapist and time of day.  

The initial assessment session includes a full diagnostic assessment, formulation and treatment recommendations.  The assessment will allow you to meet with a clinician to decide whether you wish to start regular treatment sessions.  

Treatment will typically take place over 6 to 20 sessions and last approximately six months.  Duration and frequency of meetings will depend on the individual's needs, wishes and progress.  Longer term treatment is available.  

You will be expected to pay in advance of your initial assessment but once in treatment, you can opt for a different methods of payment.  These include:

  • block pay in advance of sessions
  • pay per session by bank transfer, cash or cheque
  • invoicing and payment monthly

Fees for groups, workshops, presentations, supervision and trainings are subject to availability and requirements.  Please contact us to discuss.


Skylark Therapy is registered with most of the main insurance companies, including Bupa, Axa, Aviva, Cigna, Simply Health, and Vitality Health. If you are covered with a company not listed here, please contact via email, as this can be set up prior to your appointment.

If you have health insurance and think that this may cover your treatment fees you should contact your insurance provider prior to your first appointment.  Your insurance provider will be able to tell you if your policy will cover your treatment with us.  Some insurance companies require a GP or psychiatrist referral prior to funding sessions with a psychologist.  If this is the case please feel free to contact us and we can help you organise this.


We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to make a cancellation, otherwise the full session fee will be charged.
